How to get there

Colima does not receive direct international flights, so you should come to Guadalajara or Mexico City if you come from abroad.

Domestic Flights

  • México-Guadalajara. You can fly to Guadalajara from Mexico city. Once in Guadalajara, a bus will take you to Colima, which is 200 kilometers south.
  • México-Colima. There are also direct flights to Colima from Mexico City
  • Tijuana-Colima. If you come from the northwestern border, you can fly from Tijuana, which links directly to Colima, also.
  • México-Manzanillo. Manzanillo (90 minute drive from Colima) also receives direct flights from Mexico City and foreign airports.

Travel by land

There are several bus lines that will link directly to Colima from Mexico City or Guadalajara. The trip from Mexico City is usually taken at night and lasts around 10 hours. From Guadalajara, you can travel any hour of the day. The trip from Guadalajar is about three hours.

  • México City-Colima. 10 hours.
  • Puerto Vallarta-Manzanillo-Colima. 5 hours + 1.5 hours.
  • Guadalajara-Colima. 3 hours
